What it does

Ask Gemini adds a single command line to Google Chat, powered by Workspace Intelligence. It searches across Gmail, Drive and Calendar, creates images and drafts updates, summarises discussions and manages tasks and events.

Rollout

Rollout began on August 26 and may take up to 15 days to appear. It only applies to accounts set to English; others keep the old side panel for now. Workspace customers get promotional higher limits until October 1, 2026.
