Trump renames AI "super intelligence"

What happened
In his speech to the UN General Assembly on September 22, Donald Trump said all US government documents will now call artificial intelligence super intelligence, or SI, and that he hoped the world would follow. His reasoning: the word artificial makes it sound fake, and it is not fake.
Why it drew debate
In the field, super intelligence refers to an AI smarter than the smartest human, which does not exist yet. It is unclear whether Trump means such a machine or is saying today's AI is already super.
Context
At the same Assembly, more than 20 mostly European countries called for binding safety measures. The United States and China did not back the call.
