Claude Opus 5 launches with 1M tokens of context, same price
Anthropic released Opus 5 on July 24, aimed at agent work, coding and professional tasks, at $5 and $25 per million tokens.
The model
Opus 5 has a 1 million token context window as both default and maximum, up to 128,000 output tokens and a May 2026 knowledge cutoff. It is available in Claude, Claude Code, the Claude API, Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI and Microsoft Foundry.
Price
Pricing stays at $5 per million input tokens and $25 per million output tokens. Fast mode doubles that to $10 and $50 and runs about 2.5 times faster.
