US launches America.gov, an AI portal for federal services
America.gov runs on Gemini and Grok and answers from about 29,000 government websites. It is led by US Chief Design Officer Joe Gebbia.
How it works
The site combines Google Gemini and xAI Grok to answer from federal websites. It starts with job listings, passports, Medicare, veteran benefits and campsite questions.
Scale
Airbnb co-founder Gebbia calls it a concierge to navigate government. With 40 million daily interactions across federal sites, it is one of the largest government deployments of commercial chatbots so far.
