xAI ships Grok 4.6, Grok Bot and Image 2.0 in five days
Grok 4.6 launched on August 12 with a 500,000-token context window. A day earlier Grok Bot, an AI teammate you hand work to, entered beta.

API pricing is $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens, doubling for prompts over 200,000 tokens, the same rates as July's Grok 4.5.
Grok Bot and Image 2.0
Grok Bot entered beta on August 11, pitched as "AI teammates you can give real work to." Elon Musk announced a major Grok Imagine editing upgrade on August 8; Image 2.0 adds region-aware editing and ranked second on both Arena text-to-image and image-edit leaderboards as of August 7.
