On September 14, Nvidia expanded its CUDA-Q platform with CUDA-Q Logical, an orchestration layer for building programmable, verifiable applications for fault-tolerant quantum computers.
Why Nvidia invests in quantum
Nvidia sees quantum processors as part of hybrid systems that run alongside its GPUs. In the same month it signed a deal to buy Hugging Face for about $13 billion, widening its software footprint.
Why it matters
Quantum computers are not yet used for commercial work, but the developer tools are being built now. Putting quantum and AI chips under one software stack pulls competition in this field into Nvidia's ecosystem.
