TSMC posts record August revenue, up 53% in a year

Revenue rose 10.1% from July and 53.3% from a year earlier, a monthly record. January to August revenue reached NT$3.387 trillion, up 39.3%. Monthly revenue has now risen four months in a row.
Where the demand comes from
TSMC points to AI demand and orders tied to new smartphone launches. AI server processors kept its 5, 4 and 3 nanometer capacity fully booked through the quarter.
