Its Pro model tied Grok 4.7 on an independent intelligence index. ## What shipped On September 22, Xiaomi released the MiMo-V2.6 series: the flagship MiMo-V2.6-Pro, a smaller Flash variant and Pro-UltraSpeed, which gives up to 20 times faster output at the same quality as Pro. The Pro model moved to a native multimodal design that works with text, images, video and audio, keeping a 1M-token context and 128K output limit. ## How good it is MiMo-V2.6-Pro scored 46 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, level with Grok 4.7, which came out a day earlier. That sets a new ceiling for open-weight models. The models are released under the permissive MIT licence. Xiaomi claims Pro costs between a twentieth and a sixtieth of comparable overseas models. ## Why it matters OpenAI and Anthropic cut prices the same day. An open-weight model this close to closed rivals adds to the price pressure.
