# Visa, Mastercard and Ant set a shared ID framework for agents

Under the Know Your Agent framework, an AI agent registered with one payment network will not have to start over with the others.

## Three protocols, one registration

Ant International, Visa and Mastercard announced the Know Your Agent (KYA) framework in São Paulo on September 10. It links three existing protocols: Visa's Trusted Agent Protocol, Mastercard's Verifiable Intent and Ant International's Agentic Mobile Protocol. It covers operator traceability across networks, shared certification requirements and continuous transaction monitoring. An agent registered with one participant will not need to repeat the process with another.

## The expected volume

**$3-5 trillion** consumer spending the companies expect AI agents to handle by 2030
