It is the first annual reading below 30% since November 2021, a 57-month gap. Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek highlighted the threshold and said disinflation is continuing. ## The numbers Economists had expected about 30.16%, so the result came in slightly lower. Producer prices rose 2.07% on the month and 27.38% on the year. The 12-month average of annual CPI, which caps rent increases, came to 31.49%. ## Key terms CPI tracks what households pay; producer prices track what manufacturers charge and often lead consumer prices.
