Sol focuses on reasoning, Luna on speed and volume. ## Two models, two jobs GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna launched on September 22, minutes after Anthropic announced Opus 5.5. Sol costs $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output. Luna costs $0.10 and $0.50. OpenAI says the pricing is permanent, not a promotion. ## The claims OpenAI says Sol makes about half as many mistakes as GPT-5.6 Sol. Luna is tuned for low latency and high volume.
