# GITEX holds its first Türkiye edition in Istanbul

GITEX AI Türkiye runs September 9-10 at the Istanbul Expo Center, hosted by the Presidency's Investment and Finance Office.

## Scope

This is GITEX's first Türkiye edition, with the Ministry of Industry and Technology as strategic partner. Organisers expect more than 500 exhibitors, 150 speakers and participants from over 70 countries. Beyond AI, the agenda covers 5G, cloud, cybersecurity, data centers, fintech, e-commerce, gaming, health tech, quantum computing and smart manufacturing.

## Same season as the action plan

The event opened three weeks after Türkiye's AI Action Plan (2026-2030) was published in the Official Gazette on August 18. The plan aims to mobilise $10 billion in investment and raise installed data center capacity to at least 1 gigawatt.
