# Databricks raises $5 billion at a $190 billion valuation

Databricks wanted $1 billion, investors offered $15 billion, and they settled on $5 billion for AI agent products.

## The round

Coatue led, with Blackstone, MGX and T. Rowe Price. It is Databricks' second financing this year, and the valuation is up 42% from $134 billion six months earlier. The company crossed a $7 billion annualised revenue run rate in the second quarter, growing more than 80%.

## Where the money goes

Into products that help businesses build and manage AI agents. Investors offering fifteen times the original ask points to strong demand for the data layer agents run on.
